The american Mustache Institute is backing the Giambino for the All star game:
“It doesn’t take a mathematician to figure out that Jason Giambi’s hitting prowess plus a fashionable mustache, equals a bona fide All-Star,” said Aaron Perlut, Executive Director of The American Mustache Institute. “Giambi’s significant first-half production as well as his powerful lip fur – indicating great intellect and good looks – make two very compelling reasons for his place on the American League All-Star roster.”

The yankees are doing their best to help him play at his home park next week by giving away fake mustaches to the first 20,000 fans at Yankee stadium for todays game against the Rays. As i write this he is batting in the first inning with 2 on and 2 out… the ‘stache delivered with an RBI single.

“Pentagram has designed the identity for MillerCoors, the new joint venture between brewing giants SABMiller and Molson Coors for the U.S. market. Officially launching today, the combined operation includes eight major U.S. breweries and over 30 brands including Coors, Coors Light, Miller Genuine Draft, Miller High Life, Miller Lite, Molson Canadian, Foster’s, Grolsch, Peroni, Pilsner Urquell, Killian’s Irish Red and Olde English.

The joint venture will be most used for business-to-business communications, and largely invisible to typical consumers. The familiar cursive logos of the two brewing companies will be unchanged. “The leadership at MillerCoors was positive about two things,” said Michael Bierut, who led the design effort. “One was that the value of the company is all about the power of the consumer brands. And the second is that no matter what happens in the future, the new company is going to remain focused on one thing: making beer.”

The new MillerCoors symbol, based on a view of a glass of beer from above, is at once neutral enough to combine with the rich heritage of the existing brands, forward-looking, and unequivocally about beer.

Menshealth Urbanathalon is an 8 mile Obstacle course from Central park to Battery Park. You crawl through tunnels, hop over traffic dividers, climb marine hurdles, traverse a scaffolding maze, climb 52 flights of stairs at 7WTC, jump a taxi and climb a wall to the finish line.

I would love to do this race, not sure if september 08 is possible, but by next year i will complete it.
